Why I Am Contesting as an Independent

I am standing as an independent candidate because Kovalam deserves leadership that is accountable directly to the people, not to party hierarchies. Political parties often prioritize internal power structures over the real needs of citizens. An independent voice allows me to focus solely on development, transparency and practical solutions for the constituency. Kovalam stands at a historic moment with opportunities like Vizhinjam Port and tourism growth, yet these require clear and courageous local leadership. My goal is to represent the people of Kovalam without political pressure, to bring honest governance, new ideas and long term development that truly benefits the residents of this region.

Why People Like Me Should Be in Politics

Politics must welcome people who come with ideas, professional experience and a commitment to public good. When individuals from diverse backgrounds step into public life, governance becomes more innovative, practical and future focused. People like me bring perspectives shaped by work, technology, entrepreneurship and community engagement rather than only party structures. This helps connect policy with real world needs and emerging opportunities. Democracies become stronger when citizens who think independently participate in decision making. By entering politics, we encourage more capable individuals to step forward, raise the quality of public debate and build a culture where leadership is based on competence, integrity and vision for society.

A Low Cost Digital Campaign With People

My campaign will be simple, responsible and fully people driven. It will rely primarily on digital communication such as social media, WhatsApp groups and community discussions instead of expensive rallies and banners. There will be no unnecessary spending, no loudspeakers, no traffic disruptions and no pollution. Public spaces will not be cluttered with posters or flex boards. Supporters will participate voluntarily by sharing ideas, discussions and information online. The focus will be on meaningful conversations rather than spectacle. This approach respects people’s time, protects the environment and proves that a political campaign can be transparent, modern and effective without wasting money or public resources.
